Overview

The Friends of Majestic View Board meets once a month to go over projects, events, and volunteer opportunities to support the Nature Center through community engagement and fundraising.

The board is made up of a committed group of volunteers who work to further Nature Center’s initiatives in the Arvada community. At the most fundamental level, MVF is tasked with the important role of helping the City of Arvada implement the vision outlined in the Majestic View Master Plan.

FAQ

Majestic View Friends’ board researches and studies information related to the development of the Majestic View Park and Nature Center and makes recommendations to the Nature Center Director and City staff on issues within the board's area of expertise. 

  • The Majestic View Friends’ board also provides the time capacity to successfully fundraise financial support for the development of the Majestic View Nature Center in alignment with the City’s strategic direction. 

  • The Majestic View Friends’ board is supported by a staff liaison. 

  • You may apply for up to three board positions but no one person shall serve in more than one role. 

  • The time commitment varies with each role but typically falls within the range of 60 to 120 hours annually. See position description for more details.

  • The terms for the board members vary but most are two years.

  • There shall be no more than 15 board members.
